The purpose of this site is to provide a venue for those teaching world history to share ideas, content, etc in an effort to assist everyone teaching world history to create better learning expereinces for students. Though under development, contributors to the site will work to develop several helpful areas.
- Notes from the Classroom This section will contain blog posts that capture those “I tried this today/week/term, this is what happened, and this is what I will do different.”
- Lessons This will be a repository of lesson plans. At first, we will attempt to collect quite a few, but over time as people become more committed to the project, there may be peer review and a forum for using collective critical thinking to help make lesson plans better.
- Resources This section will contain reviews and links to resources that folks have found helpful and would like to share with others. Contributions to this area will be substantive, not just a list of links. It will include useful books and articles, websites, learning assessment helps, etc.
- Articles This will be a peer reviewed area developed to publish short articles on teaching world history.
